DEAR DEIDRE: DURING a temporary break-up my alcoholic girlfriend joined a dating site.
She’s 46 and I’m a man of 50. Things were OK for a while after she moved in with me.

But when lockdown happened, her drinking increased to the point I would often have to help her to bed.
I couldn’t take any more so she went back to her mother’s and started going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and is now sober.
