A woman has left social media users in hysterics after she sent her boyfriend an ugly selfie to catch him out for not paying attention.
Charley Roberts, who posts online under the username @charleyroberts257, had a suspicion that "men don't pay attention" to the photos their girlfriends send them.
She tested the theory on her own boyfriend by sending him a selfie of her, asking him if she looked nice that day.

However, the image had been photoshopped so that her face looked more like Gollum from The Lord of the Rings than her natural self.
But her partner somehow failed to notice as he simply replied saying: "You look fit x."
In the caption, on the clip which has gained more than 267,000 likes, she claimed the screenshots were "proof that men don't pay attention."
TikTok viewers were left in hysterics over the prank as many users were baffled as to how he didn't see it.
One user said: "That was the first thing I saw."
A second added: "LOL I can’t stop laughing. Why are men like this?"
A third commented: "They pay attention to the wrong places."
Although, there were some other users, including many women, who claimed they didn't notice it at first glance either.
One lass wrote: "To be honest I'm a woman and. I was looking at your dress so I didn't notice either."
Another quipped: "Apparently, I am men."
"I guess I don't pay attention either," a third penned.

The news comes after a woman tricked her boyfriend into thinking she wanted a break up – but was stunned when he confessed to cheating on her.
The TikToker admitted her boyfriend's confession was "shocking" as she shared it on social media, using lyrics from a song in High School Musical.
The tune – titled "I Gotta Go My Own Way" – was featured in the 2007 Disney movie as main character Gabriella gets fed up with her boyfriend Troy for not spending time with her and decides to breaks up with him.
