The TV personalities could b seen enjoying a glass of wine as they had a catch up over the cooker.

"Decided to finally get my BBC licence fee money out of Gary Lineker at his home last night.." Piers began, before praising the star on his cooking skills.

Bearing a cheesy grin, TV presenter Piers, 56, continued: "Have to say, Chef Gaz delivered a quite delicious feast including Gambas al Ajillo and Fillet steak au poivre. Did everything himself (for 5 of us) and it was all perfectly cooked.

"Then he proudly showed off his golden boots, before the shock late Leicester result came through to ruin his evening. All in all, a most enjoyable soirée – and definitely worth 43p!"

Gary looked like a proud cook as he stood with a 'Chez Gaz' apron on and glasses.

In another photo, Piers shared a look at Gary working his magic in the kitchen, with fire erupting from a pan.

Piers also took a snap of the Gambas al Ajillo in a sea shell dish and the steak main with potatoes and veg.

As well as enjoying his wine, Gary could also be seen showing off his footie boots in his huge £4million home.

Fans were quick to question whether Gary really cooked the delicious looking meal served up.

Gary lives alone in Barnes in the London Borough of Richmond where his four sons are regular guests and often stay over.

During lockdown, Gary, 60, transformed his living area into a makeshift studio which allowed him to broadcast from home.

His living space features a plush teal velvet sofa with a chic piece of artwork hanging behind it.

Speaking about cooking, Gary told London Resident that he uses it to unwind.

He said: “I find it quite relaxing. I wouldn’t claim to be a particularly good cook, but I conjure up the odd dish, every now and again.

“Like most blokes, I can do a steak and I can do a roast dinner. I’m quite proud of my roast dinners, in particular my roast spuds…”
