Is this where Princess Beatrice’s secret wedding reception was held? Fergie acts out Goldilocks under an open-sided tent complete with catering fridge and a hedge for extra privacy

  • Sarah Ferguson, 60, has been sharing videos filmed at home during lockdown
  • Yesterday she read Goldilocks And The Three Bears from her leafy garden
  • Clip offers a look at her shrubs, land and outdoor fridge set up for entertaining
  • To add to the fun, the Duchess of York also added a pile of stuffed toys

Princess Beatrice and new husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a secret surprise wedding last week, and details of the day have remained tightly under wraps.

But it appears mother-of-the-bride Sarah Ferguson, 60, might have offered royal fans a glimpse at where the couple’s intimate reception took place.

The Duchess of York was filmed in a shaded corner of her garden at Royal Lodge, in Great Windsor Park, in a video shared yesterday on her Storytime With Fergie And Friends YouTube channel.

The short clip, which shows Fergie acting out Goldilocks And The Three Bears, appears to have been filmed under an open-sided tent, like those used at festivals and trendy outdoor weddings.

There is also a canvas floor and a large catering fridge in the background, like those used by professionals.

A gate opening up onto a larger plot of land, hinting at the size of the Yorks’ grounds; 3. A tall hedge for extra privacy; 4. A support post for the large open-sided tent; 5. A soft toy display in a nod to young viewers; 6. A large catering fridge; 7. Plant pots and gardening tools; 8. A floor for the tent; 9. Props including a porridge bowl used in the Goldilocks storytelling

In the video Sarah Ferguson wears a blonde plait wig as Goldilocks and zookeeper Chad Staples is dressed in a bear suit to act out the part of Daddy Bear.

A better view of the tent is offered in a video shared by the Duchess earlier this week, in which she made arts and crafts.

It is understood Princess Beatrice, 31, and Edoardo, affectionately known as ‘Edo’, enjoyed a modest reception with close family following their service at Royal Chapel of All Saints, in the grounds of Royal Lodge, at which social distancing was observed.

It has been reported the event involved speciality cocktails, bespoke catering, an exquisitely decorated Indian-style tent, a bouncy castle and glamping pods for overnight guests. Spook London were reportedly in charge of the £110 a head wedding breakfast which featured canapes and a sit-down meal.

During the reception, Prince Andrew reportedly gave a speech in honor of his daughter’s union, a royal source told PEOPLE. Following tradition, the groom also gave a toast, as did his stepbrother, Alby Shale.

The remnants of the party appear to be visible in Fergie’s video, with Hello! among the publications that noticed the similarities between the venue described in reports and the Duchess’s filming location.

Elsewhere in the frame there are nods to the Duchess’s young viewers, with Goldilocks props like a wooden table and chairs, and a pile of soft toys all visible.

Like many other members of the royal family, the Yorks also appear to have turned their hand to gardening during lockdown, judging from the tools strewn across the floor and the freshly-planted trees in the scene.

The Duchess of York donned a blonde, plaited wig and was joined by a friend dressed as a bear as she gave an energetic reading of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

The 60-year-old hopped from perch to perch as she deliberated which chair she should sit on. But when the time came for the similar bed sequence, she realised there was no suitable prop so simply said: ‘Haven’t got a bed!’

She has been uploading regular videos of herself in costume since April, as she and famous guests entertain youngsters during lockdown. Since her first upload, the channel has garnered more than 300,000 views and is updated with new videos almost every day.

Fergie, who recently signed a publishing deal for seven books, is already the author of more than 25 books including Budgie The Little Helicopter and the Little Red series.
