Meghan Markle kept forgetting her lines in ‘terrible’ Suits audition

Meghan Markle 'ate her feelings' in pizza and quesadilla after she thought she had wasted her chance to get on hit TV show Suits.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, landed the role of paralegal, Rachel Zane, as a major breakthrough in her career, but she revealed in her now-defunct blog The Tig in 2015 that she thought she 'blew it'.

Meghan wrote in her blog: "I kept forgetting my lines, I was distracted.

"I wasn't in a place to be able to let it go. I wanted it, and I lost my shot at it. Or so I thought."

She also revealed that she 'ate her feelings' in pizza and quesadilla at home while figuring where she'd gone wrong during the audition, reported Sun Online .

But to Meghan's surprise she had ticked the producer's boxes and was invited to do a 'test'.

The audition panel involved not only the producers but also the studio and network executives.

She recalled: "Those suits were about to decide my fate for what would end up being known the world over as Suits."

She was given a last minute note that she had to wear something 'more conservative'.

The aspiring actress said: "There was no Tom Ford pencil skirt.

"Nor a pair of Louboutins on my feet, a Prada blouse was many moons away on Rodeo Drive, and I'd had my hair blown out at DryBar because it was close to my house and what I could afford."

Meghan, feeling nervous and hungry, parked up her 'rattling car' and went in for auditions.

She then said she saw a 'regal looking actress' in the waiting room who smiled at her before she went into the audition.
