It's not often that a simple cleaning trick can turn your world upside down, but one Mrs Hinch fan has done that quite literally.
Taking to a Facebook group for fellow Hinch Army members, the woman from Stockport said she couldn't quite believe it had taken her 48 years to discover the hack to help make it easier to clean her microwave.
Her revelation, shared with two step-by-step images, led to hundreds of comments with some hailing her a "genius" as others said they had their "minds blown" at such a straightforward solution.
The post which had over a thousand shares, explained how when it comes to wiping out your microwave – which can prove troublesome when cleaning the roof – you should turn it on its side.
"Why has it taken me 48 years to realise turn on its side and then upside down and the microwave is so much easier to clean," the woman named Stephanie wrote alongside a facepalm emoji.
"Edit: can’t believe I used to have cleaning products running down my arm, looking upside down trying to scrub!"

"Whooaaaaa, you massive genius!!! I shall henceforth be cleaning my microwave in this fashion," gushed one person, as another added along with clapping emojis, "You're a genius. I thank you."

While it seemed like a pretty easy thing to do one person said: "Thank you for this fab tip, so obvious but never entered my head in thirty odd years of cleaning."
"Thank God for someone saying this….have struggled for years,' another admitted.
It seems the idea works well for most microwaves as the flat sides can be tipped up while the roof which often has grooves to allow for the heating implement to work can be cleaned properly without having to turn yourself upside down to check you've done a thorough job.
The cleaning hack comes after another Mrs Hinch fan explained how you could clean your kitchen tiles with grout pens to make them look brand new again.
If you are looking to give your bathroom a blitz during the coronavirus lockdown, then why not use the method Mrs Hinch herself recently shared to her 3.2 million followers: a ‘clockwise clean’.
Posting a picture of her cleaning basket the mum of one captioned it: “I tell you what I haven’t done for a while .. a clockwise clean! So that’s exactly what I’m gonna do!”
