Mum regifts unwanted Christmas presents – and isnt embarrassed of doing it

Christmas presents can be expensive to buy for, especially during a cost of living crisis.

And sometimes you can't shake off the guilt of receiving a gift you won't make much use out of.

One woman has found the perfect way to get rid of unwanted presents without much hassle.

Charlotte Bordewey, 33, has been on the receiving end of gifts she'd never use so now she prefers regifting them.

In the past, she's been given bath sets, despite preferring showers, and received wine even though she doesn't drink it.

So as a result, Charlotte had to take action.

She told Mirror Online: "I was too embarrassed to say 'actually I'm now two sizes bigger than this'.

"That's probably where it started."

The mum-of-two commonly regifts Christmas presents than any other occasion in the year.

But she insists it doesn't mean she's ungrateful as it's to avoid waste.

For the most part, Charlotte will keep quiet about wanting to regift presents in case it upsets someone.

As for her close relatives, like her brothers, the mum is often honest.

When it comes to clothing, Charlotte prefers to provide the receipt so her loved ones can return it if it doesn't fit.

And if they return or exchange an item, she wouldn't be offended.

With the cost of living crisis, Charlotte argues there should be no shame in regifting.

She concluded: "There shouldn't be any stigma to that and there shouldn't be for passing gifts on."
