A dedicated mum managed to lose 22 kilos and drop four dress sizes in just ten months by following a simple workout routine and counting her daily calories.
Bernadette Fanning has dramatically improved her overall health by halving the amount of dangerous visceral fat around her organs by following The Healthy Mummy app filled with workouts and recipes.
She has subscribed to the popular Australian app since 2016 but it wasn’t until she took the plunge and signed up to the brand’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge in July 2019 that she really noticed the kilos shift.

‘I’m so much more confident and happier, wanting to live life not just exist. I’m down from 82 kilos to 60 and I’ve lost 120cm from my body,’ she said.
‘I’m down from a size 18 to a 10 – so four dress sizes.’
Bernadette credits The Healthy Mummy for teaching her how to cook delicious meals for both herself and her broader family, and she feels as though her physical changes have made her a better role model for her daughter.

In a typical day the busy mum will whip up a smoothie for lunch, and either the creamy mushroom and bacon ravioli or one pot spaghetti bolognese for dinner
‘I now have so much energy to run around with my daughter and play and I have more confidence. I love how clothes fit on me at the moment.’
Bernadette credits the app for making her weight loss journey easier as it has everything she needs to track her progress in one place.
‘I love the workouts on the App and the meditations are amazing for my mental health. I love finding new recipes ideas and doing my fitness test,’ she said.
Now sitting at her ideal weight, Bernadette’s initial goal to be a ‘skinny size 8’ has changed.
‘I now want to be a healthy, strong and fit women who inspires her daughter to be the best she can,’ she said.
