Kids love raiding the cupboards for treats every time they’re hungry.
This means that parents are struggling to keep their houses well-stocked during the coronavirus pandemic.
So to combat this problem, a mum decided to devise a list of “pantry rules”.
She has banned her children from swiping snacks “willy nilly”, as well as asking them to have a piece of fruit or veg first.
And she even included a threat for anyone who tucks into her Cadbury Easter eggs.
The strict rules were posted on the Mum Central Facebook group, where they were very well-received.
The cupboard notice reads: “New pantry rules for coronavirusgedden.
“1. Nobody goes in pantry asking for food or snacks without asking first.
“No willy nilly pantry visits allowed!
“2. Do not open a new box of cereal until the old, opened boxes are eaten and gone.
“3. You better have eaten a piece of fruit, a vegetable or a yogurt before you reach for anything in here.
“4. If anyone touches or eats my CADBURY EGGS, you’re going to wish you had coronavirus and died.”
The post racked up 3,600 likes and thousands of shares.
Many also took the time to leave a comment – with some branding the idea “genius”.
One commenter remarked: “We need to print and laminate this”.
A second said: “*Runs off to print sign* – my kids and husband are like a plague of locusts.”
And a third added: “These rules will start applying in our house. Especially the last one.”
