New mom Ashley Tisdale has a message for those struggling with breastfeeding

Ashley Tisdale welcomed daughter, Jupiter, on March 23, and every day is a new adventure for her. For example, she told ABC Audio that her newborn just learned to smile and hasn’t stopped since.

While the “High School Musical” star said she’s still learning new things about her baby girl, there was one thing Jupiter had right from the start.

“My baby came literally with, like, tons of expressions … out of the womb,” she gushed, explaining that her little one has tons of personality. “Honestly, she is so funny.”

But like any new mom, Tisdale admitted several things did not go to plan with Jupiter — one of them being how she eats.

The actress had planned on breastfeeding “for a couple months,” but Jupiter was not a fan.

“She did not latch from the start,” she recalled. “So, after two weeks of really trying hard, but also just like not being successful with it, we moved on to formula.”

Tisdale, who has since partnered with Enfamil, had a message to moms who may feel self-conscious about not being able to breastfeed.

“It’s the same experience. You’re not breastfeeding from the breast, but you’re still looking at your baby. You’re still looking in her eyes,” she said. “You’re still able to have that experience.”

With that hurdle cleared, Tisdale’s now looking ahead to her first Mother’s Day as a mother and noted something “feels different” about it this year.

“I mean, obviously, because I’m a mom,” the “Suite Life of Zack & Cody” alum laughed, noting that she is already looking forward to the artsy gifts Jupiter will give her once she’s older.

“I love it when little kids do artwork. It’s so cute,” she explained. “I know she’s going to be creative. … So, I’m just excited for all of that stuff.”
