The Queen’s first cousin, who was a bridesmaid at her wedding to the Duke of Edinburgh in 1947, has been quietly carrying out thousands of official duties over the years.

Last year, Flora shared snaps of her wedding day after marrying Timothy in a lowkey ceremony amid Covid-19 restrictions.

Due to strict Covid restrictions on weddings at the time, the couple were only allowed to have a small group of family and friends attend their big day.

Flora, who wore a white bridal gown by Emilia Wickstead, shared a previously unseen snap from the big day on her Instagram stories.

The bride opted for a stunning white lace gown for the occasion, which featured a sweetheart neckline and full embroidered lace sleeves (left and right)

In the photograph, the royal can be seen wearing a pair of crystal white Jimmy Choos and suggested she celebrated her wedding night at Claridge’s in London by tagging the luxury hotel in the post.

She shared the simple snap online, which showed the bottom part of her crystal white wedding gown alongside her new husband’s deep blue suit.

The couple appeared to be sitting on a sofa at the hotel, with Flora’s white designer shoes resting lightly on a cream rug.

The art curator went on to tag Jimmy Choo, Emilia Wickstead and Claridge’s in the post.

Flora could barely contain her excitement as her family helped her out of her wedding car as she arrived at St James Palace this afternoon

Flora announced the news of the wedding in September 2020 with an Instagram post in which she said: ‘We are truly overjoyed and look forward to celebrating next year.’

The low-key couple live and work in London, where Flora balances a handful of royal appearances – including joining the royal family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace at Trooping The Colour each year – and work as an art consultant.

Born in Edinburgh, Flora grew up in a 1780s country house on Scotland’s East coast, before her parents moved to Nantucket, where they now live.

Formerly a professional ice hockey player in his native Sweden, the gorgeous blond Swede is a regular fixture on Flora’s Instagram page since they got together in May of last year.

Meanwhile Sophie cut an effortlessly elegant figure in a raspberry pink midi gown, which she paired with nude accessories and heels

Lady Helen Taylor, 51, who is the only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, was among attendees at the event earlier today

The couple are believed to have had somewhat of a whirlwind romance after meeting and announced their engagement in November 2019.

Sharing the news of her engagement on Instagram, she posted: ‘We’re engaged! My beloved Timothy asked me to marry him and we’re blissfully happy.’

Meanwhile Timothy commented on the post: ‘Always and forever.’

Flora affectionately calls her fiancé ‘my lovely Swede’ on her Instagram captions, with the two enjoying travels across Germany and Devon since getting together.

Flora’s pals are pleased she’s found happiness, after she declared in 2019 that she was too busy for love, explaining: ‘I can’t even think about going there.’
