Kate Middleton has sent a tweet to a young fan she greeted at this evening’s carol service.

The royal encountered a young boy, Theo, in the audience at Westminster Abbey this evening as she spoke to guests for her ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service.

‘How are you? Nice to see you!’, the Princess exclaimed as she knelt down next to the child who was giving her a beaming smile.

Kate, 40, shook hands with the child’s mother and waved at his father before asking the him if he had seen the London buses and Paddington bear toys.

As the starstruck fan nodded, the Princess said: ‘If you see him, will you say “Hi” to him for me?’

She then thanked Theo saying: ‘Thank you for coming all this way’ and added: ‘I hope you enjoy it’.

The Prince and Princess of Wales later made a personal post to Theo on Twitter after the service, sharing a photo and writing: ‘Theo, great to see you again and so glad you could join us tonight!’

The event comes as senior members of the Royal Family put on a united front tonight at the service – just hours after Harry and Meghan dropped further ‘truth bombs’ in the explosive finale to their Netflix mini-series, accusing the King of ‘lying’ and Prince William of ‘screaming’ at his brother.

The Prince and Princess of Wales later tweeted a photo of Kate talking with Theo, saying: ‘great to see you again’

It was business as usual for a beaming Kate, who was the first to arrive for her Together at Christmas concert shortly before 4.20pm. She later re-emerged to walk in her family, placing a supportive hand on Prince George’s back as he entered the service hand-in-hand with his sister Princess Charlotte and father the Prince of Wales – while crowds shouted: ‘Kate and William we love you!’.

Kate nailed festive dressing in a burgundy coat dress, believed to be designed by London-based Eponine, as she talked to celebrities and gave high fives to adoring children.

Proving to be the queen of colour coordinating, she paired the elegant number with complementary drop ruby earrings, and a matching shimmering clutch and gloves, while sporting burgundy heels.

The Princess of Wales looked perfectly polished as she arrived for her Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in London today – after the final three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive Netflix documentary were released

Prince George, 9, and his younger sister Princess Charlotte, 7, were mini-mes of their parents William and Kate, donning matching outfits as they arrived for the event.

It is thought the young boy the Princess greeted at the Abbey tonight could be the same boy the couple met in September this year as part of their first official Royal tour of Wales since receiving their Wales titles.

Dressed in his school tie and uniform, the young boy presented the Princess of Wales with a bouquet of pink roses.

The royal couple crouched down to accept the flowers and had a brief chat with the youngster, who they met at the local RNLI Lifeboat station.

The young boy’s mother said: ‘We were actually on the way to school when I changed my mind and decided to bring him down here for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

‘And now he has just met the future king. Today’s visit is history. We had to be here.’

More than 1,800 people gathered in the abbey for the concert tonight,  which was staged to recognise the ‘selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring’.

Kensington Palace said the second carol service Kate has held is dedicated to the late Queen and the values she demonstrated throughout her life, including ‘duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others’.

William watches as his wife is presented with a posy of flowers by a young boy in Anglesey in September this year, believed to be the same boy she spoke to in Westminster Abbey this evening

But today also marked the release of the final instalment of Harry and Meghan’s explosive Netflix docuseries.

The Sussexes have used their latest Netflix shows to make wounding remarks about Prince William and King Charles and claim that they were blocked from seeing them before Megxit.

Harry also said his family were upset and jealous of Meghan’s popularity because she was ‘doing the job better’ and ‘stealing the limelight’ from ‘those born to do it’.

Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace declined to comment on anything in the series.
