‘Congratulations Eden! One of the best performances from someone so young that I’ve seen on any game show,’ a fan added.
A team of four players each takes it in turns to win some money in a quick fire round, but will join together in the final chase to take the money home.
In between those rounds they face The Chaser, and if they get more questions wrong than the professional quizzer they’re out.
If they pass through that round their money is added to the bank with the remaining players’ money.
In the final chase the team has two minutes to answer as many questions as possible, but if The Chaser gets more points they will go home empty handed.
Chatting to Bradley before his game, Eden told how he’s currently not working so has a lot of spare time on his hands, and enjoys playing five-a-side with his father.
Asked what he’d do with the money if he won, he said: ‘I suppose a car would be nice but nothing snazzy, just anything with four wheels. Maybe an Alfa Romeo… like a really second-hand one though.’
Having watched his fellow teammates all fail to make it past Ennis to the final chase, Eden had a shakey cash builder round, notching up just £3,000.
But he decided to gamble and go for the higher offer of £75,000 – a choice that certainly paid off as he made it home, securing the big sum to take into the final round.
Eden gave himself a good head start, managing to answer an impressive 18 questions correctly.

Ennis then uncharacteristically stumbled on several questions, giving Eden the pushbacks he needed to secure his record-breaking win which made him the programme’s biggest ever single winner.
Bradley rushed to congratulate him, exclaiming: ‘Seventy-five grand. Twenty years of age. Who’s your best mate?
‘I can’t believe it! This is incredible, he’s 20 years old and just won £75,000! It’s the single highest win in daytime history!’

While Bradley’s claim isn’t correct – because nine contestants won £250,000 prizes on Channel 4’s Deal or No Deal between 2007 and 2016 – it’s still a mega prize pot for a single player.
Ennis was also gracious in defeat, telling Eden: ‘What a show. Absolutely brilliantly played, Eden. You set a very high target and you pushed me back… I don’t know how many times, but enough to win the money.’
Asked again what he planned to do with the cash after his win, Eden replied: ‘Just look at it in my bank account.’
The previous biggest ever solo win on The Chase was a contestant named Judith who won £70,000 in 2019.
