Ferne McCann is back on our screens after her ITVBe show, First Time Mum, kicked off its newest series last night.
Fans tuned in as the TV personality, 31, opened up about her recent split from ex-boyfriend Jack Padgett, as well as giving viewers a glimpse into what family life is really like for the Essex beauty.
The show follows the former TOWIE star as she goes about her day, looking after three year old daughter Sunday, as well as balancing her busy work schedule and keeping on top of her fitness plans.
The avid gym-goer confirmed on the show that she and ex-Jack have broken up, after she failed to address the split when rumours first surfaced earlier this year.
Back in June, multiple reports claimed the couple had parted ways despite the star claiming her model ex was the one.
One source revealed to New Magazine that the pair realised they had no future together.
They said: “Ferne really loved Jack and they had a great time together, but she realised they were just at different stages.
"Jack is a bit younger and likes to party and he also works in hospitality."
At 27 years old, Jack is four years her junior, and although it's not too much of an age gap, Ferne has stated on her social media that she feels well and truly in her thirties by now.
For her birthday this month, the star posted an Instagram snap of herself at Soho Farmhouse, smiling as she held a glass of gin.
She told her 2.6 million followers: "Well my birthday celebrations look a lot more…’thirties’ than last year."
The source added that Jack's partying ways was likely a huge factor in their relationship's demise: "Ferne is over that stage of her life and wants something more stable.
"It was a heartbreaking decision but she soon realised it wasn’t going to work.”
The stunning mum hadn't been dating Jack for long, only revealing their romance in December 2020 after they were spotted kissing whilst on a holiday in South Africa.
Not long after, her new man moved into Ferne's Essex family home, and she couldn't stop gushing about her feelings for him.
She told the Sun Online in February 2021: “I’ve made the mistake before of telling my friends that I’ve found The One and that I’m going to get married.
"I’ve reined it back and calmed it down, but I feel like he really is The One."
The star exclaimed she was in a "love bubble" at the time, but only four months later their relationships was on the rocks.
Despite the breakdown of her latest relationship, Ferne isn't giving up on love, and would love another child so daughter Sunday could be an older sister.
A source also revealed to the publication that the star is on the hunt for an older man.
They concluded: “She’s always said she’d love to grow her family and get married. Jack was a bit younger so she realises now she probably needs to find someone a bit older and more ready for that stage of life.”
