Alesha Dixon accused of ripping off the branding on her kids clothing range

Britain's Got Talent star Alesha Dixon is facing claims from a furious mum she ripped off the branding on her kids’ clothes range.

Dominique Tahir, 37, insists the singer lifted ideas and the font from her Bluebell + Bear range to slap on her childrenswear range for George at Asda.

The despairing mum-of-three told the Daily Star: “I’m heartbroken. Not even five to 10% of what I did has been changed.

“I reached out to Alesha by DM’ing her but got no reply. They replied, but I haven’t filed my full evidence yet.”

Dominique’ kids’ range features uplifting messages in a distinctive thick black font illustrated with stars and lightning bolts – as does Alesha’s.

The mum – who is now considering legal action – said she started producing the pieces in 2018, and still sells them on her website.

Alesha, 43, launched her range with Asda in April this year, and claimed her daughter Azura, eight, helped inspire the designs.

The ex-Mis-Teeq singer, also mum to daughter Anaya, two, gushed in an interview to promote the gear: “It’s a dream – any time you get to work on anything to do with kids, it’s always so much fun.

“We always have fun with fashion in this house and I’ve tried to get Azura involved as much as possible – she’s loved every minute of it too.”

The singer’s George range was touted as “uplifting and gender-fluid pieces for boys and girls from 2 to 10 years old”.

Dominique has posted comparisons between their designs in a raging online post.

She shared images of the messages emblazoned on her and Alesha’s clothes ranges so web users could compare their branding.

One of the slogans on Dominique’s clothes reads “Be Kind Be You’, while one of Alesha’s declares “Be Strong Be Brave Be Kind Have Fun.”

Dominique raged: “Can you tell the difference? Nope me neither! My branding, ethos and messages are being passed off as someone else’s.”

Alesha has been contacted for comment but did not respond.

An Asda spokesman said: “The Alesha Dixon x George collaboration has been independently designed and features popular slogans and fonts. Asda has used similar fonts on its clothing ranges since 2018 and as a result we do not accept the claims made by Ms Tahir.”
