However, one Twitter user claims that the 2021 Day N Vegas Festival officials stop the ’20 Min’ rapper’s performance because they want to prevent a ‘raging.’
AceShowbiz –Lil Uzi Vert couldn’t contain his anger after his recent performance was abruptly stopped. Having his set cut short at the 2021 Day N Vegas Festival for allegedly showing up late, the “20 Min” rapper threw his microphone to the crowd.
In a clip surfacing online, Uzi was seen performing in front of a packed crowd on Sunday, November 14. However, the music suddenly stopped, prompting the emcee to throw his mic and walk out the stage.
However, a Twitter user with the handler @JusAire claimed that the show was stopped due to another reason. Sharing a video from Uzi’s performance, the user explained, ” ‘Don’t stop my rage’- Lil Uzi Vert after being adamant about not taking any breaks. 3 seconds later, @daynvegas2021 stopped the rage.”
“For context, Uzi was 30 minutes late for a 50 minute set, but after he got off, a computerized voice told people to step back to give people in the front room,” the individual further elaborated in a separate tweet. “Feels like they cut his set because of the raging. Never seen this before at a festival. Truly a new era #DayNVegas.”
Festival organizers apparently tried to prevent another deadly concert in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy. Eight people, ranging in age from 14 to 27, died at Travis Scott (II)‘s Astroworld music festival. A hundred others, on the other hand, were injured at the 50,000-person show, which took place at the NRG Park in Houston, Texas on November 5.
Five days later, a ninth victim named Bharti Shahani passed away after being declared brain dead one day prior. On Sunday, a 9-year-old boy called Ezra Blount also died after getting trampled during the chaos.
“The Blount family is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son,” Ezra’s family said in a statement to ABC13. “This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration. Ezra’s death is absolutely heartbreaking. We are committed to seeking answers and justice for the Blount family. But we stand in solidarity with the family, in grief, and in prayer.”
