Ashley Cain is "battling on" and "is making the most out of life now" since losing his baby daughter Azaylia last year, says his close friend Tom Zanetti.
The reality star and musician have a remarkable bond, with Tom always praising Ashley for his tremendous attitude and amazing charity work.
The pair go way back and Ashley has even starred in Tom's music videos, and the pair regularly catch up, recently doing an Instagram Live for fans.
Ashley's daughter Azaylia, who he shared with girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee, lost her battle with leukaemia on April 25, 2021, at the age of eight months.
Since then, Ashley has bravely and consistently fundraiser for similar causes and focuses his efforts on helping other families with poorly children.
Talking about his pal, Tom told the Daily Star: "He's got a new project starting and I need to see him soon. He deserves a gentlemen's evening, he's been working so hard.
"So, I'm going to take him 'dinner and dancing' with me. He needs to let some steam off, he deserves it."
This means Tom is inviting Ashley to his hometown of Leeds, where he has recently set up his new venture the Playroom.
His new restaurant-nightclub offers visitors a place to have a slap-up meal while busting out moves on the dancefloor.
Over the Christmas period, while everyone was at home with family, Ashley was out doing a marathon in order to fundraise for more causes, which spurred on pal Tom to help with donations.
He added: "I just saw what he was doing on Christmas Day when we were all eating and partying – he did a bloody marathon. He's a really good guy, it's such an amazing cause. Whatever you can do just try and help."
When asked how his friend has been coping, Tom said: "I think he's just battling on, he's a warrior, he's just making the most out of life now, and making us all proud."
Tom is currently extremely busy touring up and down the country and gearing up to release new music – approximately 10 new tracks.
He will also be doing the festival rounds this summer and will be appearing on many lineups across the UK and beyond, including Norfolk's Sundown Festival.
The festival will take place at the Norfolk Showground on September 2-4 and will see a stellar lineup come to the East Anglian county.
Talking about his upcoming set, Tom added: "I'm really excited, I'm going to stay for Sean Paul's set especially. I love Sean Paul! There are so many great acts like DJ EZ and Bad Boy Chiller Crew, who I'm mates with.
"If I'm able to take my son along then I will because he absolutely loves Digga D. So, I'm really looking forward to Sundown this year."
