The British public is continually searching for new ways to enjoy their favourite films and music and experience a range of entertainment as the coronavirus pandemic continues. With cinemas, shops and restaurants still closed for the foreseeable future, people are spending more and more time watching streaming services finding new ways to watch films online. Well now movie production company Lionsgate has done just that with a fantastically fun new venture called Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies.
Lionsgate UK revealed the news today, announcing that they plan to help people celebrate the cinema experience at home while supporting the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.
They are also supporting The Film and TV Charity COVID-19 Emergency Response.
The venture will see the company presenting four different films over a course of four Saturday evenings streaming live on their YouTube channel.
Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling musical extravaganza La La Land is first, so grab the popcorn on Saturday, May 2nd for a sing-a-long.

Based on a true story, Olympic skiing tale Eddie the Eagle is next on May 9.
90s favourite Bend it like Beckham is the third to stream on May 16.
And rounding off the group is The Hunger Games on May 23.
All four films will be livestreamed at 6pm exclusively on the Lionsgate UK YouTube channel.
What’s more, each film shown as part of Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies will be presented by a different celebrity host.
Scottish radio presenter Edith Bowman will take to the microphone, with comedians Keith Lemon and Jack Whitehall following suit.
Chat show host Jonathan Ross finishes the list.
And the fun doesn’t stop there, as every Saturday evening will deliver interactive opportunities for viewers and surprise guest appearances.

Audiences will have the chance to join Lionsgate UK in helping their partnered charities.
NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal supports NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients.
The Film and TV Charity COVID-19 Emergency Response supports the people behind the scenes who bring films to the screens.
Lionsgate UK is joining with some of its most important exhibition partners, including Cineworld, Odeon, Showcase, Empire, The Light, Picturehouse, Everyman, Curzon, The Industry Trust and many other Independent Cinemas across the country.
They’re also teaming up with popcorn maker Joeseph’s, who is creating three exclusive Gourmet Popcorn Bundles.
Viewers can have these delivered in advance ready for the Saturday night events with 10 per cent off the usual price.
