Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Rocky Cotton’s (Brian Conley) relationship hit the rocks in EastEnders when he revealed that he was secretly still married, leaving Kathy devastated.
Things only got worse when said wife, Jo Cotton (Vicki Michelle) arrived on the Square, leaving Kathy with a few home truths about her man.
Kathy ultimately forgave him for his deceit, and things got back on track for the pair.
The only thing still standing between them and a beautiful marriage was the fact that Jo had not yet signed the divorce papers.
However, things may be set to hit the fan again in the near future, as Jo makes an unexpected return to Walford, divorce papers in hand.
‘She wants to come back and create some animosity,’ actress Vicki Michelle revealed.
‘She’s loving seeing Rocky squirm. Every time he sees her, he feels threatened by her. He loves Kathy but Jo is the spanner in the works.’
Her arrival couldn’t have come at a worse time for Kathy, who is stressed by the task of organising Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) wake.
Though Rocky is trying to take the pressure off her, Jo’s arrival distracts him, as he desperately tries to keep her away from his fiancĂ©.
When Rocky and Jo later meet, Rocky is left wondering why she couldn’t have just sent the papers in the post, when Jo drops a bombshell, informing him that a mystery person says hello.
‘When Jo and Rocky were together they had Jasper, and they both loved him, but I think Rocky really, really loved him. She’s still got that hanging over him so she uses that as a weapon when she tells Rocky that Jasper sends his love,’ Vicki explained.
Rocky is rattled and later calls Jo, wanting to talk about ‘his boy’…
Does Rocky have a secret son that he hasn’t told Kathy about?
Kathy has already said that another lie will result in the end of their relationship, so could they be set to split as she discovers Rocky’s betrayal?
