Bachelorette fans finally know who Hannah Brown chose to be her one-and-only forever. Unfortunately, while her road for love was already difficult (and we know the controversial Luke Parker didn’t make it any easier), the ending certainly wasn’t what Brown anticipated. She fell deeply in love with singer/songwriter Jed Wyatt and chose him over runner-up Tyler Cameron. But news broke early on in their engagement that Wyatt left his girlfriend back home shortly before competing for love on the show.
With Brown feeling betrayed by Wyatt, it seems Tyler Cameron is still totally open to the possibility of meeting up with Brown. But fans are warning him against it. Here’s what they’re saying.
Hannah Brown has broken off her engagement with Jed Wyatt
While many Bachelor fans hoped Brown would go for Cameron in the end, we know now that it was Wyatt’s proposal she accepted on the finale of The Bachelorette. Unfortunately, the happiness wore off quickly once news broke that Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend, Haley Stevens, came forward to the press with information. According to Stevens, she and Wyatt were in a serious and committed relationship for months before he went on The Bachelorette — and he told her he was only going on the show to advance his music career, People reports.
“I was being told half-truths and lies and you wanted me to have clarity and clarity means truth. You got to see all of me, I didn’t get to see all of you,” Brown told Wyatt on the show. And for that reason, she announced she broke off the engagement and is now moving forward as a single woman.
Tyler Cameron and Brown are set to grab a drink together
The shocking end to Brown’s short-lived engagement wasn’t the only surprise during the finale. While Brown admitted she no longer had strong feelings for Wyatt after feeling completely betrayed, she did mention that she still thought about Cameron from time to time. And she even told Cameron that she’d love to reconnect and grab a drink with him sometime.
As Brown wrote on Instagram, “And to your burning questions: Yes, the drink is happening. No, you’re not invited. I’m really appreciative that Tyler has always had my back and supported me through all my decisions. He constantly encourages me to lean into the strong woman that I am.” And Cameron seemed just as excited at the possibility of reconnecting with Brown. On his Instagram, he wrote, “As one chapter closes, another one begins. The world is yours girl! Excited to see what you do with it. Looking forward to that drink.”
Us Weekly reports that Cameron also went on Nick Viall’s “Viall Files” podcast to give even more insight into the situation with Brown. As Cameron said, “I think we have a great relationship, you know, and friendship, and that’s something that doesn’t need to be cut off because that didn’t work out. I think that’s immature.”
Fans are warning Cameron that he shouldn’t go for her
Plenty of Brown’s fans are excited at the possibility of her reconnecting with Cameron, but some have taken to Cameron’s Instagram to warn him against dating Brown.
As one fan commented on his post dedicated to Brown, “You are way too good for Hannah, Tyler! I think you can do so much better! For her to not realize how good you were and dump you for jedd then to try to go back to you after! I think that’s a joke! [sic].” And another added, “I really hope you think about it and not go have drinks with Hannah lol. If it wasn’t for Jed’s ex Hannah would still be with him [sic].” Yet another commented, “Nooooo!!! Run Tyler!! You deserve better! You don’t deserve to be anyone’s second choice. Think about it, if Jed wasn’t caught lying, she wouldn’t have asked you for that drink!”
It looks like Cameron and Brown are still happily planning on meeting up, however. And we’d love to see them make their love story work!
