BBC Casualty fans counting down the days after exciting show update

Casualty trailer hints at Zoe Hanna’s return

BBC fans are desperate to know when Casualty is returning to our television screens following its current hiatus.

Last month, it was announced that the drama series would be taking an extended break from schedules.

Viewers are now eager to find out when the BBC programme will be returning, and it’s set to be rather soon.

According to WhatToWatch, an official spokesperson confirmed that the show will return later this year.

There is no specific date announced, but with two and a half months left of 2023 to go, it should expected to be soon.

On September 23rd, the BBC show announced: “#Casualty will return. Casualty is on a break and will be back on your screens later this year.”

This prompted many worried viewers to speculate that the show could be disappearing.

One person who replied to the announcement said: “That’s a shame. It’s the only programme I watch on BBC nowadays. ‘Later this year…’ ? Does the BBC really want to lose all it’s viewers?”

Another user said: “I wish the @BBC would realise that 3 quiz shows on a Saturday night is too much and viewers want drama like Casualty as well.”

A third penned: “Casualty used to be a regular watch week in week out what are they doing to us viewers – nothing is the same anymore. Stopping and starting the BBC need to sort their scheduling out.”

Casualty will return on Saturdays on BBC One.
