One of the best competitions on Big Brother is the wall competition. That’s because it’s solely about endurance, and it usually pops up once things get more down to the wire before the jury. The season 23 houseguests did the competition, but who won, and what does it mean for the upcoming week? Here is everything you need to know.
[Spoiler alert: Spoilers for Big Brother 23 live feeds that aired on Aug 5!]
One team survived on ‘Big Brother 23’
The new season started off with four teams. Team Jokers had Brandon “Frenchie” French, Azah Awasum, Britini D’Angelo, and Derek Frazier. Team Aces had Whitney Williams, Hannah Chaddha, Derek Xiao, and Brent Champagne. Team Kings had Christian Birkenberger, Alyssa Lopez, Sarah Beth Steagall, and Xavier Prather. Team Queens had Tiffany Mitchell, Kyland Young, Claire Rehfuss, and Travis Long.
The teams have unevenly dwindled throughout the weeks. Travis, Frenchie, and Brent were evicted. After Brent, many houseguests were trying to target the Kings because they were the only team to have all of its original members.
Unfortunately for them, they won the last HOH competition. Christian won and put Hannah and Whitney on the block. The Aug 5 episode showed Whitney going home with a unanimous vote.
The teams came to an end on ‘Big Brother 23’
Julie Chen Moonves announced after the eviction that the teams are over this season. Every houseguest is officially competing for themselves. The Wildcard Competition is also coming to an end.
Many houseguests already had their suspicions that the twist will be ending. They seemed very excited about having more control over their own games. We have also seen houseguests working outside of their teams by making alliances.
The Cookout was made early in the season with Derek F, Azah, Xavier, Tiffany, and Kyland. They also agreed to protect Hannah. The Royal Flush alliance was also formed with Team Queens, Team Kings, and Derek X.
Who won the HOH wall competition?
The episode ended with the houseguests set up for the HOH wall competition. The wall was immediately tilted at an angle that seemed to shock them.
Fans didn’t get to watch the whole competition. The host told fans they can watch the rest of the competition on the live feeds.
Derek X ended up winning the competition. He’s in The Royal Flush and he’s close to Hannah in the house. It’s kind of unclear what he’ll do besides target people outside that alliance which include Derek F, Azah, and Britini. There is also a chance that he’ll take the risk of going after people within his alliance.
Last week some Royal Flush members hoped the Jokers would win so they could take a shot at the Kings, who have the bigger number. It’s not likely Derek X will take that shot himself.
