ITV’s I’m A Celebrity All Stars will see some of the most beloved faces from previous series of the ITV reality show competing once again to be crowned the first I’m A Celebrity Legend. Mathematician Carol Vorderman was a popular contender in the 2016 series and is among those making a comeback for the new competition. However, she looks horrified in a preview of the show where she can be seen screaming in fear during one of the gruelling trials.

Ant and Dec teased fans with a trailer during this week’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

As well as Carol, stars taking part in the all-star show include Helen Flanagan, Shaun Ryder, Phil Tufnell, Paul Burrell, Jordan Banjo, Amir Khan, Janice Dickinson and Fatima Whitbread.

Promoting the new series, Dec stated on Saturday’s variety show: “Have a look at this…”

The trailer depicted Carol looking out onto stunning views and commenting: “Look at that, it’s extraordinary.”

“I wonder who’s crackers enough to do it again,” Shaun thought aloud as he is seen being driven to the remote location.

“Oh my word,” Phil remarked before Ant welcomed the famous faces to “their new home for the next few weeks”.

He continued: “You all survived the Australian jungle, but this is a whole new ballgame.”

“You’ll compete against each other,” Dec added, continuing: “In a series of trials and challenges for the right to remain in the camp.”

“One of you will become the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend,” Ant concluded.

The preview also shows many of the celebrities retching as they take part in the gruesome eating trials.

At one point, Carol can be seen screeching in terror with her eyes closed during one of the trials.

National treasure Carol Vorderman will no doubt be a welcome face on the new show, being a popular TV personality.

While she is often seen sharing her views on current affairs on ITV’s This Morning, she has also appeared on several other shows and is a frequent Celebrity Gogglebox star.

During her original stint down under, she lasted 19 days in the jungle and was the fifth celeb to be voted off.

Jordan also took part in the 2016 series alongside Carol, so the two will be familiar with each other.

The new series won’t include a public vote-off that the standard ITV competition relies on.

Instead, the contestants will have to compete against each other in different ways.

Carol will no doubt be an interesting personality in the camp as she isn’t one to remain quiet about things she is passionate about, so it’s possible she will be a strong voice within the setting.

Carol has been vocal in recent years against corruption and frequently speaks out on holding the government to account.

I’m A Celebrity All Stars will air on ITV1 later this year.
