Celebrity MasterChef has once again been booted off the TV schedule as another drama series takes its place. The celebrity spin-off of the cooking competition won’t air on Monday evening as BBC One will instead be showing the new series of Silent Witness. As a result, fans will have to patiently wait until later in the week for the next instalment of the star-studded cooking show.

Celebrity MasterChef recently returned to BBC One with a brand new line-up of famous faces taking on challenges in the kitchen.

Melanie Sykes, Rita Simmonds, Dion Dublin, Katie Price, Su Pollard, and Bez are just some of the celebrities who have been on the show this series.

However, sadly fans won’t be able to see their favourite stars showing off their culinary skills tonight as it’s been removed from the TV schedule.

The programme usually airs at 9pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, however, the BBC has made some scheduling changes this week.

The hit programme will be missing from the BBC One TV schedule on both Monday and Tuesday.

Celebrity MasterChef will instead air at 9pm on Wednesday and Friday and 8pm on Thursday this week.

This comes as the new series of Silent Witness will be shown in the cooking programme’s usual time slot on Monday and Tuesday.

The new episodes of Silent Witness are from its 24th season, which will be made up of 10 episodes in total.

Monday night’s episode will see Nikki (played by Emilia Fox) deal with disturbing memories when she and Jack (David Caves) visit a high-security prison to investigate the suspicious death of an inmate.

The victim’s cellmate turns out to be the student responsible for a mass shooting she witnessed 10 years earlier.

Nikki becomes increasingly convinced that gunman Scott (Elliott Tittensor) is their prime suspect, but Jack worries she is not following the evidence.

Tuesday’s episode follows on as Jack and Nikki delve further into the mysterious case.

This isn’t the first time Celebrity Masterchef has fallen victim to a scheduling shake-up, as last week it was also replaced by other content.

Last Monday Celebrity MasterChef’s time slot was taken up by BBC One’s new crime drama series Vigil.

The show follows DCI Silva (Suranne Jones) as she uncovers a conspiracy after a sailor is found dead on the submarine HMS Vigil.

Similarly, last Tuesday the celebrity cooking show was replaced by the documentary 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room.

According to the TV guide, fans can expect Silent Witness to also air on Monday and Tuesday next week as the new series continues.

As a result, Celebrity Masterchef will once again air on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday instead.

The next episode of the celebrity cooking competition will see the contestants tested on their teamwork as they head into the first semi-final.

Celebrity Masterchef continues Wednesday at 9 pm on BBC One.
