This resulted in her getting pregnant with Oliver who now lives with Leanne and her boyfriend Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).

While Leanne and Steve have continued to spend more time together and support one another, Nick has often been left on the sidelines.
Despite looking after him on a day to day basis and treating Oliver like he is his own, he hasn’t been allowed to sit with the doctors.
Nick has had to receive most of the news about Oliver’s condition through Leanne and Steve, much to his frustration at times.
However, should it actually be Nick being told what’s wrong with Oliver?
Is Nick Tilsley Oliver’s real dad in Coronation Street?
Nick and Leanne were engaged when Oliver was born and, as Steve was with Michelle, they said they would say Nick was the dad.
However, Steve was unable to see his son brought up by another man believing to be his dad so at a party to celebrate Oliver’s birth, Steve came clean.
He told all of his friends and family at The Bistro Oliver was actually his and Michelle left him after punching Leanne.
There have been questions over if Oliver is really Steve’s though, following the news he could have mitochondrial disease.

A second said: “I thought last night that Nick could be Oliver’s father because Gail was saying something like I thought it was genetic? Just a thought.”

However, despite the potential storyline, Steve is really Oliver’s father and not Nick.
When Oliver was born, Leanne organised a paternity test which proved her son was Steve’s and not Nick’s.
So while some fans think Steve could be in for a shock, it seems extremely unlikely given the results of the test.
Coronation Street continues every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
