The identity of Sarah Barlow’s biological father is set to be revealed in the new year and telling clues have suggested that DNA test may have been faked, AI has claimed.
Coronation Street fans have been gripped to their screens for months following the fallout of cobbles killer Stephen Reid. As Audrey Roberts comes to terms with his loss, residents have been desperate to get their hands on the Canadian killer’s incriminating diary.
The doting mum was shocked on Friday (December 15) after her real dad’s identity was thrown into question when the late businessman’s journal spilled some family secrets. Up until now, the blonde bombshell had always assumed her father was Brian Tilsley.

But things are never quite so simple in Soapland. In the late 80s, Gail had relationships with multiple men before she fell pregnant with Sarah.
While the mum-of-one is determined to get to the bottom of things, Daily Star has quizzed one of the most intelligent ‘creative’ tools Bard AI as to who the secret baby daddy could be. When asked who the mystery man could be, the program suggested six possible men who had well-known connections with Gail Platt back in the mid-1980s.
It explained: “Sarah’s mother, Gail Platt, has been married multiple times, and each of her husbands has been considered a possible father for Sarah.
“Her biological father could be Brian Tilsley, Martin Platt, Richard Hillman, Joe McIntyre or Michael Rodwell.” But there is one other person who could be the father of the cobbles beauty.
Loyal fans who have been tuning into the program since the 80s will remember that it was unclear whether Brain Tilsley was Sarah’s real father after Gail cheated on her husband with Ian Latimer. Her affair with the hunk led to many questions about the paternity of Sarah who was born prematurely in 1987.
These doubts led to a strained relationship between Brian and Sarah, with Brian initially refusing to accept young Sarah as his daughter. However, a DNA test later confirmed that Brian was indeed Sarah’s father.
But this wouldn’t be the first time that the legitimacy of a DNA test has been called into question. Earlier this year, Stephen Reid forged the medical documents of Sarah’s unborn child when she fell pregnant with Damon Hay’s child.
He changed the document to hide the fact that the Weatherfield bad boy was the real father and switched it to her husband Adam Barlow. Bard AI went on to predict how Sarah’s world would be turned upside down if Brain wasn’t her real father.
It continued: “If Ian Latimer were to resurface on Coronation Street and reveal that he is Sarah’s biological father, it would undoubtedly be a shocking revelation for her. She has always considered Brian Tilsley to be her father, and she has a strong relationship with his extended family.
“Learning that her biological father is someone she has never known would be a major upheaval to her identity and sense of belonging. Sarah’s reaction to this news would likely be complex and multifaceted.
