Countryfile’s Helen Skelton goes makeup-free and soaks in ‘last rays of summer’

Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton recently revealed that despite starting work at 3.30am, her gruelling schedule actually sees her living her best life.

The former Blue Peter presenter took to her Instagram Grid as she shared a snap with her 207,000 followers while relaxing poolside during the mini-heatwave.

Helen, 37, was grinning from ear-to-ear as she posed for a selfie while relaxing.

Despite recently admitting to experiencing the "weirdest summer" during the coronavirus lockdown period, Helen seemed to be in her element as she returned to work.

Alongside her swimwear-clad snap, she penned: "The downside to going to work at 3.30am is you get up at 3am…

"The upside is you have more time in the day to hang with the little people and rinse the last rays of summer with sunset swims…"

She added: "Now the small matter of sleep. Where do you fit that in?"

Opting to go makeup-free, Helen covered her face with a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer's to protect her peepers.

The mum-of-two made sure to get an even tan as she scraped her blonde locks off her face and into a high ponytail.

Fans instantly took to the comment section to praise the presenter.

"Beautiful," commented one fan.

While a second went on to say: "Looking lovely as usual."

"Looking fab," gushed a third.

"Always confident, you always look amazing," commented a fourth.

Helen recently made her way back to the famous Blue Peter studio in MediaCity UK, Salford, to congratulate their latest presenter, Adam Beales, the cousin of Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle.

Taking to her Twitter account, Helen praised the Derry-Londonderry born YouTube sensation.

Sharing a snap of presenter Richie Driss and Adam, she wrote: "Snuck into the Blue Peter Studio today to wish the newest recruit good luck. He doesn't need any luck or advice: talented, humble & already a massive success.

"Congratulations on the new gig @Adam_by. If you four have half as much fun at Blue Peter as I did you're in for a treat!"
