DENISE Van Outen's ex fiance Eddie Boxshall has responded to their shock split.

The Sun revealed yesterday that the Celebrity Gogglebox star, 47, had ditched him after discovering he has been having phone sex and dates with other women.

Although Eddie hasn't publicly spoken about the break-up, he has shared a cryptic post.

He shared a photo of a mirror which had a writing on it, which read: "When everything is uncertain, everything that is important becomes clear."

Eddie captioned the post with: "Health and love."

Last night Denise broke her silence over the break-up.

She posted a heartbreaking message alongside a black and white picture of her walking their two dogs on a beach.

Denise wrote: "Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie.

"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship.

"I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories made."

She concluded: "We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time, especially for our children ❤️."

Denise is mum to daughter Betsy, 11, from her marriage to Lee Mead, while Eddie has two grown-up children from a previous relationship.

Denise was planning to tie the knot this year with her fiance.

However, she asked Eddie — dad to son Jordan, 25, and daughter Leah, 22, — to leave their Essex home two months ago.

The Sun exclusively revealed that she asked him to leave their home after discovering he had been swapping raunchy messages and calls with women he met online.

A source close to the couple, who had been together for seven years, said: “Denise is both ­furiously angry and utterly heartbroken. It’s the very last thing she expected to happen after she had been so happy with Eddie.

“She thought this was for ever. But while she has been out at work he’s been sat in her home betraying her trust.”
