EastEnders favourite Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) bid farewell to her family on Thursday night as she prepared to return to prison.
The cleaner was sentenced to a year in prison for assaulting her former best friend Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and causing her to have a miscarriage.
Fans of the BBC One soap know that Stacey didn't do such ting but Ruby made sure her love rival was punished for causing her to lose her baby.
The day of Stacey's court date arrived and she walked alone to her sentence hearing, leaving viewers feeling extremely confused.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "You can't just walk to Jail, what about the Court stuff and that."
Another added: "Why’s Stacey going on foot? She going to walk all the way to court/prison?"
A third person posted: "No police even there to take her. Stacey may as well have been walking to the chippie as a duff duff."
While a fourth eagled-eyed viewer said: "Lol is Stacey walking to prison?"
Speaking to her daughter before she left Albert Square, Jean said: "I was just thinking you're amazing.
“You didn't exactly have the greatest example of a mother. My biggest gift to you was bipolar and yet here you are – the best mum those kids could ask for.
"You are only human but you are still trying. You are still hanging on in there, carrying on for them.”
"I'm so scared to say goodbye," Stacey admitted.
Jean replied: “I know, it's the worst thing – leaving. So we'll make it easy on the kids today, eh, no fuss, no big dramas.
“You just go on your way. I know I wasn't much cop when you were little but you can rely on me when you're gone. I will take care of your children, I promise."
With that Stacey went to say goodbye to her children; Lily, Arthur and Hope.
She said: "I'm always with you. You be good for nanny jean, you do as you're told because I've got to go away for a little while but you know nanny Jean is going nowhere."
Turning to her Jean, Stacey said: "I love you mum."
Stacey previously told her mum that she was going to plead guilty in return for a shorter sentence.
Big Mo told the children that "six months will be hear in no time" as Stacey walked into the distance.
Actress Lacey, who has played Stacey sine 2004, gave birth to her second child recently and is currently on maternity leave.
