EastEnders ended on an explosive cliffhanger during Wednesday's episode as kidnapped Kat Slater and corrupt copper DCI Keeble found themselves in a gun showdown as a bullet fired out.
Only recently, Phil Mitchell's fiancée Kat and her son Tommy Moon were abducted by masked men as they were taken to an abandoned warehouse.
Kat and Tommy were soon faced with DCI Keeble and a gun as Kat attempted to take the corrupt police officer down in a bid to save her son.
Viewers will recall that Phil has been involved in a feud with corrupt police officer Keeble over the past few years as she holds a grudge against the family after her father was murdered by Eric Mitchell in 1979.
It wasn't long until Phil learnt that Kat had been kidnapped as he instantly went on the warpath and had to reluctantly team up with enemy Keanu Taylor.
Soap watchers will recall that Keanu recently returned to EastEnders and has been begrudgingly working with Phil to bring down Keeble.
During the latest episode, after tracking Kat's location thanks to Tommy's watch's tracker, the two enemies worked together to save the duo from DCI Keeble's evil clutches.
However, over at the warehouse, Kat tried to reason with Keeble and seemed close to a breakthrough until the corrupt copper snapped at Tommy.
To which Kat then attacked Keeble, attempting to get control of the gun and in true soap style, just as Phil and Keanu entered the warehouse, a gunshot rang out…
It remains to be seen who has been shot but some soap watchers have predicted that it will be Keeble.
Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Please tell me that was Keeble got shot not Kat & Tommy!!! #Eastenders."
A different account put: "I hope Kat shot Keeble #EastEnders".
While another follower wrote: "Yo who got shot? #eastenders."
It's been an explosive few weeks on EastEnders recently as Mick Carter appeared to be "killed off" last week as he bowed out of the soap after nine years.
