EastEnders fans wowed as ‘pampered and polished’ Sharon Watts makes glam return

EastEnders viewers were left taken-aback when they caught sight of the newly "polished" Sharon Watts upon her return to Albert Square this week.

Actress Letitia Dean, 54, came back for her latest scenes in Walford looking more glam than ever before, and it's not the only new thing of late as she made a recent comment about the soap's new set too.

With her honey blonde locks styled into layers, the fan-favourite character strolled back into the soap showing off her fabulous tan and sun-kissed glow.

She had also opted for more of a glamorous makeup look, rocking bold eyebrows, false eyelashes and a slick of pink lipgloss.

Sharon has always chosen black floaty clothing flattering for her figure, and this time was no different.

But the character had definitely had a glow-up, and her normally curly tresses had also had a refresh.

Following a trip to the glam squad, Sharon shared: "I've been pampered, polished and plucked."

Fans flocked to Twitter to share their amazement at how incredible the blonde beauty looked.

"Can we all take a minute to appreciate how good Sharon Watts looks on #EastEnders?! Wow…" one person exclaimed.

Another commented: "Sharon looks so beautiful today, she looks 19."

"Anyone else going to mention how Sharon is looking at the moment!" a third viewer declared, while a fourth person said: "Honestly thought Margot Robbie had popped up in the Square. But no. It's only our pampered , polished and plucked Sharon."

"Letitia Dean is always a true icon and looks absolutely flawless as Sharon in tonight’s #EastEnders," another fan added.

Sharon first appeared on the BBC's long-running soap in its first episode back in 1985.

The character quickly became one of the most iconic in the series' entire run, being a part of some of the most controversial and explosive storylines ever.

But while Sharon's affair with Phil Mitchell during her marriage to his brother Grant Mitchell will forever remain one of the most memorable plots, she has also experienced unimaginable sorrow.

She lost her true love Dennis Rickman when he was stabbed in the square on New Year's Eve, and then in a cruel twist of fate, she also lost hers and Dennis's son Denny too – in the heartbreaking boat fire last year.

Still one of the most resilient women in the East End, Sharon is now focusing on her baby son Albie, whom she shares with Keanu Taylor.
