EastEnders' resident serial killer Gray Atkins might never face justice after his crimes are finally exposed.
The murderer has taken the lives of his wife Chantelle, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi – and is currently embroiled in a tense abusive relationship with Chelsea, the mother of his premature son.
But Gray's reign of terror looks far from over, even as Kheerat attempts to worm a confession out of him with Whitney's help.
And taking to social media, fans reckon Gray could go the same way as Emmerdale's serial killer Meena Jutla, and escape Albert Square before the authorities ever catch up to him.
In the ITV soap, Meena has managed to evade police custody despite cops up and down the country searching for her.
But could Gray go the same way?
One fan certainly seems to think so, as they tweeted: "LMAO what if Gray has the same exit Meena does where he doesn't get caught or die and he just legs it? I would lap it up!"
Another echoed: "Why do I have a feeling that Gray is going to run away with the baby?"
"#EastEnders Gray's sooo gonna go the way of Meena in #Emmerdale and disappear… justice ain't coming for our boi!" a third fan predicted.
"Why do soaps mirror each other's storylines – Gray in EastEnders, Meena in Emmerdale? Serial killers not getting caught!" someone else posted.
It came as Gray found out Chelsea had been enjoying a pamper session at the salon while their son Jordan fought for his life – and was left fuming at his partner.
Whitney was soon appealing to Chelsea to stick with the plan and leave Gray – but Chelsea railed at her that there was "no evidence" against the killer, and marriage is simply "complicated".
Whitney yelled back: "I think this is abuse, actually!"
Chelsea hit back: "He told me today to trust my instincts, and that is exactly what I am gonna do. Stay away from my family!"
At the beginning of the episode, it looked like Gray was coming close to confessing his crimes to Kheerat as he watched medical staff surge to save his son's life.
He admitted that karma was coming to him, telling his friend: "This is all my fault".
But he cut himself off before Kheerat could wrangle the whole truth – with fans hoping he had a secret recording device nonetheless.
