Ellen DeGeneres has been met with some disgruntled punters after she compared isolation to being in prison.
Keeping in mind the woman is reported to be worth $450million (£363m) and lives in a mansion.
Yep, just like prison.

Hosting her daytime show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, from her comfy couch in LA while Covid-19 shuts down studio production, Ellen opened with a monologue – like usual.
Having been in quarantine for three weeks alongside wife Portia de Rossi, the 62-year-old comedian and TV presenter said: ‘This is like being in jail, is what it is.

‘Mostly because I’ve been the same clothes for 10 days and everyone in here is gay.’
Yes, you’re really struggling if you’re being asked to stay inside your massive digs, with the world still only located on the other side of the door, that you can open, and walk through at your leisure.

Ellen and Portia are said to own a number properties, but are understood to be quarantining in their $27m (£21m) Santa Barbara mansion.
Set on a massive plot of land, the Balinese-style mansion boasts eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and an infinity pool that looks out on stunning views.
Not a bad place to be imprisoned.

We understand she’s making a joke, or, rather, trying to, but it fell quite flat with many – especially seeing as many are stuck in homes that don’t boast infinity pools, or even backyards.
One fumed on Twitter: ‘People are literally dying in jail from COVID-19 while Ellen is out here making jokes about it,’ as Variety TV critic Caroline Framke added: ‘What a great look for Ellen as thousands of people sit in actual jail cells just hoping for the best without soap and basic protections.’
An angry Twitter user chimed in: ‘Incarceration is leading to mass death in this pandemic. Also, I think by ‘gay,’ what y’all are referring to is actually often called rape in jail/prison. Maybe think of comparing life in your mansion to something else?’
Still, Ellen’s efforts came with good intentions as she said of her beloved staff and crew: ‘The best thing I can do is keep the show on air.’
She continued, from her armchair: ‘If you’re feeling down I want to lift you up, if you’re feeling trapped I want to set you free.’
Ellen added, saying she was aiming to bring a little humour to proceedings as we all remain indoors: ‘I feel bad for a lot of people…but I want to spread light where it’s gloomy…
‘I want to stick a candle where the sun doesn’t shine.’
