Emma Willis shares rare pic of son Ace and praises him as 'beautiful soul' on his 10th birthday

EMMA Willis has shared a rare photo of her son Ace, praising him as a "beautiful soul" on his 10th birthday.

The 45-year-old star was bursting with pride as she paid tribute – showing off her son's quirky style in the snap.

In the photo, Ace is strolling through an outdoor market, wearing a psychedelic patterned bucket hat.

Emma and her husband Matt don't show their children's faces on social media, but Ace's long blond hair is visible from the back.

The TV favourite captioned the Instagram post: "My sonshine. My ray of light. He’s as bright on the inside as he is on the out…

"A whole decade of loving you, what a lucky mummy I am, you beautiful little soul. Happy birthday Acey baby. Stay true, stay you ❤️"

Ace is Emma and Matt's only son, with the pair also mum and dad to 12-year-old Isabelle, and five-year-old Trixie.

The pair have been praised in the past for embracing Ace's style, and while they have never shown his face online fans have seen glimpses of his attention-grabbing outfits.

But Emma admitted that she didn't realise his look was so unique until the response – which sadly included some nasty comments from trolls.

She previously told The Sun's Fabulous magazine: "The response was a big eye-opener, because for me, it’s just Ace, he’s my son and that’s the way he’s always been.

"So it did massively make me start thinking about stereotyping and how bonkers it is that a boy, just because he has long hair and is wearing pink, is mistaken for a girl.

"I’ve started following a few Instagram accounts that talk about these issues – @notonlypinkblue and @lettoysbetoys are great – so it’s made me educate myself about the way other people see things."

And on Good Morning Britain, Emma added: "For me that’s normality. He loves colour, he’s always had long hair, he’s a free and able-minded boy.

"He’s like: 'Why do I have to dress in green and blue and grey, when I love red and pink and purple?' He’s always been that way.

“We, I think, are trying to raise him as a very open-minded and inclusive individual.”
