EMMERDALE fans have all said the same thing as a beloved character makes an explosive return for the Christmas special.

The festive episode saw the return of an iconic character back with his popular family.


Emmerdale's Zak Dingle hasn't been seen on the beloved soap for six months after actor Steve Halliwell took some time off after being rushed to hospital for a heart operation.

So viewers were happy to see that the classic character was back.

Zack returned for the Dingles' Christmas meal in the festive special episode.

As the Dingles clang – including daughter Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and son Sam (James Hooton) sat down to have their Christmas dinner, Zack was also at head of the table.

But as the rest of his family – including daughter Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and son Sam (James Hooton) – sat down for a festive feast, Zak was there at the head of the table.

Viewers were thrilled to see Zack back with his family after not seeing his face for a year, as they took to Twitter to share their excitement.

One fan wrote: "It's so good to see Zak back with the Dingles."

Another wrote: "Yes Zack is back! Woohoo."
