DAN Spencer is devastated to realise he can’t feed daughter Amelia next week in Emmerdale after his benefits claim is rejected.
The mechanic has been out of work ever since he was left partially paralysed after suffering an allergic reaction to one of Brenda’s wraps.

Viewers know that Brenda eventually offered Dan a sum of £10,000 as compensation money after Mandy found evidence incriminating her.
Bob and Amelia recently suggested that Dan use the money to hire a physio to help with his recovery.
But rather than hiring a physic, Dan was forced to use the money to address his spiralling debts and woeful financial situation.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Dan put on a brave face as he tells Cain he’s ready to work again.
But disaster strikes when he finds himself stuck under a car, unable to pull himself up.
Once home, he does his best to hide the pain he’s in, but Amelia sees through his facade.
Things take a turn for the worse when Dan discovers his benefits claim has been rejected.
With no income, will Dan come clean to Amelia?
And will Dan force himself to continue working, despite clearly being in no fit state?
