Emmerdale Spoilers: Mandy Dingle returns and introduces her 16-year-old son – but who's the dad?

The residents of Emmerdale will be left in shock and awe in the New Year when Mandy Dingle makes a surprise return to the village.

The character – who was last seen in the village 17 years ago – bursts through the door as Marlon Dingle and Jessie Grant’s official wedding ceremony is getting underway.

Marlon and wedding witness Paddy Kirk – played by Dominic Brunt – are stunned by her arrival and Paddy is left feeling awkward as his ex-wife Mandy takes her place beside him as the second witness.

As the wedding continues, a vulnerable Chas Dingle – Lucy Pargeter – leaves a message on Paddy’s phone and – feeling the strain of losing their baby – she sets off to find him.

But all hell breaks loose when Chas arrives and finds Mandy with Paddy.

An emotional Chas snaps and attacks Mandy, which probably wasn’t the exact welcome home she was hoping for.

Later Chas and Mandy make up but when Mandy hears of Paddy’s recent heartache over baby Grace will she be able to reveal the real reason why she’s returned to the village?

And what will the Dingle clan make of Mandy’s 16-year-old-son who she’s kept secret all these years?

It was revealed that Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley would be returning to the ITV soap in November for a special storyline.
