Emmerdale star Amy Walsh got emotional as she opened up about becoming a mum on Celebrity MasterChef.
The 36-year-old, who is best known for playing Tracy Metcalfe on the ITV soap since 2014, made her first appearance on the cooking reality show alongside Black Eyed Peas star APL.DE.AP, Love Island's Luca Bish, Robin of Sherwood’s Michael Praed and Strictly's Dianne Buswell on Tuesday (August 22).
While Amy attempted to impress judges John Torode and Greg Wallace with her culinary skills, she was asked what made her sign up for the show.

The actress broke down tears after admitting her confidence had taken a knock since welcoming her first child, Bonnie, who she shares with former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith.
Gregg, 58, asked: "What are you doing here on MasterChef?"
Amy replied: "I want to… oh god I’m going to get emotional. I want to prove to myself I can do something good.
"I don’t know why I’m crying!," she exclaimed.
The mum-of-one continued: "I think you just lose your nerve and forget who you are a bit when you’ve been away from all that and then this opportunity came and I could have run a mile."
Amy went on to say: "I have been so out of the work game, I am normally in a tracksuit in the play pen with my baby 90% of the time eating baked potatoes because that’s easier!"
Looking sympathetically at the soap star Gregg attempted to boost her confidence by saying: "I want to tell you right now, I’m impressed by you."
The presenter later added: "Amy keep going – this looks and smells great."
Viewers rushed to support the actress on social media as one wrote: "Loving Amy on #celebritymasterchef she was always great as tracey in #emmerdale."
"Amy #celebritymaster chef she's my star already," added a second.
Another declared: "Amy Walsh to win… #celebritymasterchef" as a fourth fan echoed: "Meanwhile Amy has swept them away. #celebritymasterchef SHE IS THRU.
And it seems Amy succeeded in impressing the judges as she made it through to the following week, while professional dancer Diane was eliminated from the competition.
