Ex-EastEnders star Katie Jarvis says she’s ‘standing up for the working class’

Ex-EastEnders star Katie Jarvis said she is "standing up for working class people" after it was revealed she is now employed as a security guard at a B&M store.

The actress, 28, also said there was "no shame in any job" and that it was normal for actors to have other work in between gigs.

Speaking to Victoria Derbyshire today, the mum-of-two said: "I took that job on and joined my sister because she's actually a security guard there."

She explained: "The people I work with there are amazing. They get up every single day, work hard for their money."
