Game of Thrones House of the Dragon was given the green light by HBO as a prequel series to the original Game of Thrones series. The new series follows the Targaryens and will be set about 300 years before the events of the original show. Fans have spotted a clue which suggests one of the Game of Thrones crew will come back for the prequel series.
Seeing as the prequel series is set so far in advance of Game of Thrones, fans are not likely to see any of the original cast members return.
Fans will most likely see the ancestors of the main houses including the Starks, Baratheons, Lannisters and others.
Aegon Targaryen is likely to appear, as well as his sister-wives Rhaenys and Visenya, as they were all mentioned a number of times in the series.
According to Knight Edge Media, a casting call went out looking for stars to audition to play Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys Targaryen earlier this year.

No official cast members have been announced but eagle-eyed fans have spotted a clue on IMDb which suggests one of the crew members will be returning.
Deborah Riley is a production and designer and art director and has worked as a set designer on The Matrix and assistant art director on Moulin Rouge.
She also became the production designer of Game of Thrones from season four onwards, replacing Gemma Jackson.
She won an Emmy award in 2015 for Game of Thrones season five, in particular for the episode High Sparrow.
Fans have taken to Reddit after seeing an IMDb update which said she would be returning to work on the House of the Dragon series.
They have questioned the legitimacy of the update, but it has also been reported in an ‘exclusive’ story with Discussingfilm.net.
The online blog said: “We have learned that Deborah Riley, who served as the production designer for ‘Game of Thrones’ from Season 4 to Season 8, will be the production designer for the upcoming Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon.
“Riley has also worked on the production design for Nothing Left to Fear and Demonic.
“Miguel Sapochnik will write, direct and executive produce episodes of the series. Ryan J. Condal will write and executive produce alongside Sapochnik, he has previously written the screenplays for Hercules and Rampage.
