Giovanni Pernice is said to have no plans to leave Strictly Come Dancing, despite this year's series proving to be a disappointment for the Italian dancer.
His dance partner Amanda Abbington had to withdraw from the competition, leaving Giovanni out of the race for the Glitterball trophy this year, just two years after he was crowned champ alongside Rose Ayling-Ellis.
Adding to his woes, the Cardiff date of his solo tour was cancelled due to the sudden closure of the venue he was set to perform at.
Despite these recent setbacks, an insider says Giovanni is committed to supporting the rest of the Strictly family and has no plans to leave the show.
Speaking to the MailOnline, a source claimed: "Giovanni is really disappointed that Amanda's time on Strictly has come to a premature end. He wanted nothing more than to continue competing with her by his side."
They added that conversations regarding Giovanni's long-term future on Strictly "won't take place for months" but he currently has no plans to step down from the dancing competition "just yet".
Amanda issued a statement on Tuesday morning following Strictly: It Takes Two announcing her exit from the BBC competition on Monday night.
The Sherlock star didn't mention Giovanni by name as she explained to fans on Instagram why she had to withdraw from this year's series.
The mum-of-two shared a picture of dancing shoes and wrote: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue.
"It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside."
She continued: "I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It's a wonderful bunch of people and I'll miss all of them.
"I'm so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx."
Giovanni addressed his partner's exit on Monday night, sharing a backstage snap of himself and Amanda taken during Movie Week on Instagram.
He captioned the image: "Amanda ..I am so sad we can't continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love."
Amanda is yet to like or comment on Giovanni's sweet post.
