Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway today admitted she's "disturbed" by a warning made by ex-Love Island star and professional boxer Tommy Fury, ahead of his upcoming fight with YouTuber KSI.
Appearing on the early morning news show alongside his father John Fury, Tommy, 24, left host Kate, 56, feeling uncomfortable when he dished out a chilling warning to opponent KSI just weeks before the Battle of Britain boxing bout on October 14 in Manchester.
Talking about dedicating his life to preparing for the fight – even if that means spending time away from fiance Molly-Mae Hague and their seven month old daughter Bambi – Tommy told viewers: "This is an easy win for me, I’m training like I’m training for an undisputed world title fight.
"When I jump in the ring with KSI he will quickly realise that fighting a YouTuber is completely different to fighting a professional boxer."
Tommy – who last week said Molly-Mae is "holding down the fort" after he moved out of the family home – then threatened: "This is a message for KSI. Cut all of that fancy talk out, the laughs and all the stupid bandana's, whatever you want to do…
"Come October 14 his life will be ruined. All his singing, podcasting, his business, it will all be finished as mark my words, he’ll be leaving Manchester Arena in an ambulance. I can quite clearly guarantee it."
It was then that mum-of-two Kate – who yesterday was left in stitches after a blunder saw Ben Shephard say "I need a lie down" – then exclaimed: "Crikey! I’m actually getting a little bit disturbed by all of this. I want to tell you all to calm down and have a cup of tea!"
On the show, Tommy became visibly annoyed when presenters Kate and Ben surprised him and his dad with a personalised pre-recorded message from KSI, who real name is Olajide Olatunji, in which he said the ex-islander was "dead meat" and warned his career will be "over" after their fight.
Despite appearing tense, Tommy claimed "I've got everything I need in my life so far", and said he's ready to get into the ring.
"It's been a whirlwind and it's going to continue to get better," he told viewers. "Thank you, Lord, Amen, for everything he's given me.
"I intend to use all that as motivation and push on, and get a spectacular win on October 14 in my hometown in Manchester. Ready to put on a show for absolutely everyone that's gonna turn out."
Kate then jibed: "Well, I'm hoping to be there!"
"Yeah it's going to be a big night," co-host Ben Shepherd then added. "I'm hoping to be there."
