Good Morning Britain’sPiers Morgan and Susanna Reid have made a fresh dig at Love Island stars on Monday 14 September’s show.

The TV duo made scathing comments about the reality show’s stars during a back and forth with Andi Peters.

As Andi prepared to tell viewers how they could get their hands on half a million pounds, Susanna jokingly asked Andi if he would be leaving his job, following the news that A Question of Sport star Sue Barker has been axed.

As she passed over to the star, Susanna, 49, asked Andi: “You’re not going anywhere are you Andi?”

To which Andi promised: “I’m not going anywhere because, let’s be honest, if I go you’ll end up with someone from Love Island and I know how much you’d both like that!”

Susanna could be heard laughing loudly in the background while Piers, who recently made a dig at the Kardashians, replied: “That would be a step up in terms of brain power, I’ll tell you that!”

Meanwhile Susanna could be seen shaking her head and miming to the camera: “No it wouldn’t,” as she continued to giggle.

Andi then hit back at Piers as he said: “So rude,” before getting on with telling viewers about the competition.

This isn’t the first time Piers, who recently said Susanna’s fat-shaming of him caused him to go on a diet, has taken a swipe at Love Island stars.

Earlier this year, Piers ripped into “dimwit” Love Island twin Jess Gale on GMB as he ranted over the girls talking about their favourite numbers in the villa.

In an episode of the reality series, Jess explained her favourite number was 11 because “it is the freshest number” and “so pure”.

She added: “Also, I love the number one, but one is just so lonely, like 11 is two ones like it's two people.”

Piers couldn’t resist ripping into the contestant as he mocked her and repeated “one and one is two, is two people” in a high-pitched voice.

He added: “Eleven is like two people, it's two people, one and one, is two, one and one… I'm amazed she even knows one and one is two.

“I think that is a real step forward for this series, I'm not sure in the last series they knew…”

Susanna then interrupted with: “No one and one is eleven, she just pointed that out, one on its own would be lonely.

“Look at how much of a conversation we can have about this.”

Piers then scathed: “I could talk about these dimwits all year.”
