Good Morning Britain presenters Ranvir Singh and Susanna Reid were left rather perplexed on Wednesday’s episode as the script appeared to be written quite mischievously.
As the presenters discussed the line up for the show on March 31, they mentioned that they will be joined by Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood.
Last year Ranvir,43, was a contestant on the much-loved BBC One show and she seemed thrilled to be reunited in the studio with Craig.
But as the programme quickly proceeded Ranvir noticed a comment in the script which seemed to indicate that judge Craig called her "dreadful". Ranvir quickly picked up on it and hastily quizzed fellow host Susanna on the script.
Perplexed, Ranvir asked: “Did he call me dreadful Susanna? Did he?"
Susanna replied: ”No he did not, I do not know who wrote that. That is very mischievous!”
Susanna added: "Because actually, I think what he said was you were hard done by the jive. But your ballroom dancing was a dream and your jive was full of fun and verve.”
A confused Ranvir then asked: "But you're saying that, aren't you? He never said that, did he?
Susanna continued: "You were a pure dream. Well, let’s…"
"I mean, I have not spoken to him, so that should be fun," explained Ranvir.
"I don't think he’d ever called you dreadful," explained Susanna, adding: "He has praised you to the hilt.”
Ranvir then replied: "Well, we are glad to have him on the show anyway…"
Ranvir appeared on series 18 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 and was partnered with the show’s long-running professional dancer Giovanni Pernice.
Though she did very well on the show, the GMB presenter missed out on a place in the final.
Ranvir spoke openly about how she felt after she left the show and admitted to feeling “flat”.
The star explained: “Actually coming out of it for that first, well, the second week out of it, I did feel quite flat and I couldn't shake it off," the GMB star admitted.
"It was a very strange experience really, because you think coming out of it, you'd feel really on a high and really happy. And I did quite well and all of that, but I think nothing quite matches the buzz of it."
