Holly Willoughbys Freeze The Fear faces uncertain future with no decision on series two

Holly Willoughby's BBC show Freeze The Fear reportedly faces an uncertain future with it claimed that "no decision has been made" on a potential series two.

The series, which aired last year, followed famous faces as they took on some epic mental and physical challenges set by “The Iceman” himself – Dutch extreme athlete and cold-water therapy advocate, Wim Hof.

Holly, 41, presented the show alongside comedian Lee Mack as several celebrities went on a "once-in-a-lifetime, epic adventure" with the line-up including the likes of Tamzin Outhwaite, Professor Green and Dianne Buswell.

However, it has now been claimed that the future of Freeze The Fear faces uncertainty and that "no decision has been made" on a potential series two.

A source told The Sun: "Since 2004 Holly has almost exclusively worked for ITV as one of the channel’s most prized presenters.

"So it was a big deal in the industry that she was hopping over to the BBC and showed she had real confidence in Freeze the Fear being a big success. But as it stands there’s been no work done on a second series.

"This time last year the team were months into pre-production and filming was just two weeks away. Never say never, but as it stands no decision has been made on the future of the show."

OK! has contacted BBC for comment.

The show saw Wim Hof, famous for his ability to withstand freezing temperatures, imagine up daring new tasks for the eight famous faces.

The motivational speaker has made it his life’s work to show others that they can achieve the seemingly impossible.

The nicknamed 'Iceman' has convinced many A-listers with his methods, including Orlando Bloom, Sacha Baron Cohen, Chris Evans and queen of TV Oprah Winfrey.

Many stars have credited Wim with helping their fitness and health through his famed cold water technique.

Wim Hof's method is believed to help with better sleep, reduced stress and heightened focus, amongst other advantages.

Speaking about the show last year, Holly previously explained: "I can't wait to team up with Lee and Wim on this show."

The mum of three added: "Lee is a favourite in our house because he's so hilariously funny and I've been a fan of Wim for a long time — he's a genius who's incredibly passionate about helping others."
