Then read on to find out how the cast for Gogglebox are selected.
How to apply for Gogglebox 2020?
Sadly, there isn't a normal application process to join the cast of Gogglebox.
In fact, a Channel 4 spokesperson recently said: "We are not currently casting and there is no way to apply to be on Gogglebox."
This is because the production team tend to scout potential cast members out and about in public locations.
Speaking about the cast, the show’s creator Stephen Lambert said in 2015: "Everybody on Gogglebox has been found and persuaded to be on the show and I think that’s the key to why they are likeable and why the show works, because we get to know these people. We’ve never advertised for people on Gogglebox."
Studio Lambert look for entertaining viewers with "strong and entertaining" opinions about TV shows and films.
While you can’t apply to be on Gogglebox, there tends to be new cast members every series.
If you are lucky enough to get scouted by the producers then you need to be able to do 12 hours of filming a week. But the hours are split across two 6 hour shifts.
If you still want to try your luck with direct contact, then it is reportedly worth sending an email to [email protected].
