How Many '90 Day Fiancé' Spinoffs Does the TLC Franchise Have?

90 Day Fiancé first aired on January 12, 2014. Since then, TLC and now discovery+ have been banking on the hit reality show’s success, pumping out spinoff after spinoff. While some viewers are always happy to have more 90 Day Fiancé drama to watch, others are feeling fed up with the ever-growing list. Meanwhile, viewers are beginning to push back on cast members they view as toxic, no longer willing to let TLC’s decision to give these people airtime slide.

How many ’90 Day Fiancé’ spinoffs are there?

For over seven years, 90 Day Fiancé as a franchise has been one of TLC’s heavy hitters. That would explain why the network and Discovery+ have done everything they can to capitalize on the franchise. That has resulted in a truly massive number of spinoffs. The following is an exhaustive 90 Day Fiancé spinoff list from originals, to television spinoffs, to web series, in chronological order.

Until 2016, the show consisted purely of 90 Day Fiancé. In August of 2016 both, Happily Ever After and Before the 90 Days were announced.

Happily Ever After debuted in September of 2016. Between Happily Ever After and Before the 90 Days came What Now?, premiering in July 2017. Before the 90 Days came out in September of the same year.

April 2019 saw the advent of 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk. It was followed by The Other Way in June 2019.

The Family Chantel made its debut in July of 2019. December 2019 saw Just Landed, and April 2020 brought viewers Self-Quarantined. June 2020 saw Strikes Back, in which cast members defended themselves from fans. August 2020 welcomed (?) Darcey & Stacey, because of course they need more screen time.

October 2020 brought HEA Strikes Back!, which is the same as Strikes Back but for Happily Ever After cast members. 90 Day Bares All, 90 Day Diaries, The Other Way Strikes Back! and 90 Day Journey were all added to discovery+ on January 4, 2021. Later that same month, The Single Life premiered, with The Single Life: Pillow Talk and Love Games being added in February 2021.

Last came Foody Call which premiered in May 2021. That puts the franchise at 20 franchise installments total, including the original.

Sheer number of ‘90 Day Fiancé’ spinoffs shocks Redditors

A recent Reddit thread highlighted the TLC franchise’s wild number of spinoffs, citing the franchise as one of the “most milked” series out there using a mostly complete 90 Day Fiancé spinoff list. There are plenty of fans who are feeling frustrated with all of the spinoffs.

“Talk about milking! Every episode is 40 minutes of where things left off last episode and 20 of new content,” claimed one commenter on the thread.

Another user pointed out how ridiculous it was to watch cast members watching cast members do things you’ve already watched. They said their mother got into the franchise and started watching Pillow Talk

“And at that point I went, ‘You watched the original show, right? And then the commentary show? And now you’re watching the commentary on the commentary show? So you’ve seen the same show three times?’” they wrote. They said their mother corrected them with “four,” as she’d watched the extra footage scenes as well.

Fans have been pushing back against toxic cast members

Fans aren’t just feeling fed up with 90 Day Fiancé spinoffs, they’re also getting sick of toxic cast members. Recently, Big Ed’s ex-girlfriend Liz released a phone call of Ed screaming obscenities at her. A petition has since started to have TLC give him the boot.

Similarly, fans are getting sick of Mike and Trish, who they feel frequently gaslight Natalie. They’re also feeling done with Angela Deem, whose constant yelling, tantrums, and poor behavior have them feeling bad for Michael Ilesanmi.

Then, there’s Geoffrey Paschel, who stands accused of domestic violence among other things, as well as Tiffany and Ronald who frequently put Tiffany’s son Daniel through the emotional wringer. TLC may need to start stepping up their game if they aim to retain viewers when it comes to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
