I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here viewers were left not knowing whether they had voted to save or eliminate contestants using the app after confusing messaging was read out by Ant and Dec.
The hosts told viewers to phone up each contestant’s unique number in order to save the campmate, but on the app it said ‘vote off’ above the celebs.
Ant and Dec later informed viewers that only phone votes would count due to the wording error on the app – with fans worried that would change the outcome.
Fans took to Twitter to voice their confusion as to whether they were voting to save or eliminate their chosen campmates on the app due to the contradictory messages.
They tweeted: ‘@imacelebrity ant and dec says vote to save where app says vote off?? help!!’ and ‘Just to confirm please on the app the title is vote off. But A&D say vote for who you want to stay?? If I select Andy does that mean I’m voting him to stay or go?’
Fans were worried their vote would be wasted by either saving or voting off the wrong contestant, as they weren’t sure which way they were voting on the app.
With the first elimination of the series looming, fans posted: ‘NOT TO SOUND THICK BUT IF IM VOTING ON THE APP IM VOTING FOR WHO I WANNA STAY YEAH ???’
Others added: ‘I’ve just voted people in that I didn’t want to stay in cos it said “vote off” at the top of the app page. Wtaf is going on with the app?’
Adele Roberts was the first celeb to leave the camp, telling Ant and Dec: ‘At least I’m first at something! [I went in] just to challenge myself… I was frightened a how it would go.’
She added: ‘I feel like I’m stronger than I realised and there’s so many things I can do, it’s just the way you view things. Spiders won’t bother me now.’
