James Argent banned from EasyJet for opening fire door and running onto runway while on holiday with ex Gemma Collins – The Sun

IF JAMES “Arg” Argent was hoping to jet off to escape the current drama surrounding him, he’d better book a long-haul flight.

I’m told the reality TV veteran, who The Sun on Sunday revealed had been at the centre of a 999 scare over a feared overdose, has been banned from EasyJet for two years following an incident in Italy earlier this year which resulted in police being called.

The drama happened when James, who was on holiday with his now ex Gemma Collins, turned up late to the airport and was told he could not get on the flight.

In a moment of madness he then opened a fire exit to try to reach the Tarmac, where Gemma was waiting on the plane.

A source said: “It was a really strange situation and the beginning of the end for him and Gemma.

"It was when he was partying hard, and even though they were meant to be on a couple’s break it was a sign of things to come.

“The latest drama is no surprise when you consider what happened earlier this year.”

The source added: “Italian police were not impressed by his actions and neither were EasyJet.”

Back in 2014 James had to be escorted from a flight from Ibiza after he was sick all over himself following a massive bender.

Yesterday The Sun told how The GC had dumped James for good after he refused to go to rehab.

Last week, emergency services rushed to his Essex home after he did not answer his phone for more than 12 hours — with worried loved ones fearing he had overdosed.

He needs help before it’s too late.

Little Mix 'n' match

LITTLE Mix showed off their wild side in these animal print outfits to announce their collaboration with clothing brand PrettyLittleThing.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson have joined the likes of Hailey Baldwin and Love Island’s Molly-Mae in collaborating with the online shop.

The former X Factor stars announced they had teamed up with PLT on Sunday night and told fans: “We’ve absolutely loved creating this collection for you and can’t wait for you to see it.”

Their line will be released on November 7 and lands smack bang in the middle of the UK leg of their latest tour.

Earlier this year, Leigh-Anne announced she had launched her own swimwear brand as a side hustle to the group, which formed back in 2011.

With her expertise and all their sense of style, I think they’re on to a winner.

Cher blue us away

First review

★★★★

I SENT my reporter, Howell Davies, to catch the first night of Cher’s UK tour…

The last time Cher played the UK was on her Farewell Tour 15 years ago – but on Sunday night she returned with her aptly titled Here We Go Again Tour, with more gusto than ever.

Two songs in – one of which was monumental disco hit Strong Enough  –  she delivered a hilariously messy 14-minute monologue while dressed in blue sequins and a matching wig.

And by the end of her series of stories, she said: “Everyone claps when I say my age and I wonder if it’s because I’m still alive or because I can still get into my costumes.”

Then she added: “What’s your granny doing tonight?” Well, certainly nothing like this.

She had the audience in the palm of her hand while belting out tunes such as Walking In Memphis and Turn Back Time, with spectacular staging which was just as gloriously camp.

Anyone seen their granny ride a mechanical elephant? With eight different outfits, and wigs, in the almost two-hour show, she did spend quite a bit of time getting ready off stage.

But when she was there, her vocals were genuinely brilliant and she’s a force to be reckoned with.

And by the time it came to her encore, she played her ace with what must be one of the greatest pop songs ever made, Believe, which brought the house down.

She might be 73, but I’d like to see any young pop star try to keep up.

NEWLYWED Rio Ferdinand says he confiscates his kids’ phones – to help them cope with “draining” social media.

In new book A Game Of Two Halves, the dad of three says: “It’s so draining. It takes over your life . . .  All I can do is manage it.”

Rio, who married ex-Towie regular Kate Wright last month, added: “For example, I’ll randomly take their phones off them and scroll through everything.

"At the same time, they’ve got to make their own mistakes. I can’t control everything.”

Let's get James to top spot

JAMES Arthur’s record You is just 600 copies behind rockers Foals in the race for the week’s No1 album.

In a Q&A with fans, Foals drummer Jack Bevan moaned that “some pesky X Factor type” was hot on their heels and begged fans to pick up a copy of their new record, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2.

While I’m all for a bit of banter, putting down James, because he found fame on The X Factor is a low blow.

Every musician knows how tough it is to make it in the industry. Simon Cowell's ITV show offers the opportunity of a lifetime.

And let’s not forget, James has been writing music and gigging since he was a teenager – and released an independent album when he was 23.

James feels his telly fame has actually put him on the back foot and means he has to battle non-stop to change people’s minds.

Surely the fact he already has a No1 album and two No1 singles under his belt is enough?

Speaking to The Sun when he dropped his new record, You, on Friday, James said: “I don’t know whether the music industry really wants an X Factor winner to reach the kind of heights I have. I’d be lying if I said that didn’t hurt sometimes.”

So today I’m taking a stand against the music snobs. Help me get James’s album to No1 this Friday. You can get it at jarthur.lnk.to/you.

And I promise, it’s infinitely better than Foals’ offering.

KATE Beckinsale has finally settled her divorce from film director hubby Len Wiseman three years after their split.

According to US website The Blast, the couple have agreed on the separation of their property and fortune.

It's in the genes, Liam

LIAM Gallagher’s son Gene made his live debut drumming for his dad’s band on BBC2’s Later . . . with Jools Holland.

The teen has previously played the bongos on Liam’s album Why Me? Why Not.

During their slot, filmed at the start of October, Liam joked he felt like “The Brady Bunch” playing alongside his son.

Shame he doesn’t copy the wholesome TV family’s manners.

Liam also joked he’d forged John Lennon's signature on a record – despite the Beatle already being dead.

He said he wrote, “To Liam, from John. Good work”. Funny as ever, eh Liam?

Shadow Sheeran

YOU can have a pint in his pub, critique his art and now walk Ed Sheeran’s path to international fame.

A route around the singer’s hometown of Ipswich has been drawn up, steering fans through his first gigs as a lad.

It charts Ed’s rise all the way to the Portman Road stadium of his beloved Ipswich Town, where Ed finished off his recent world tour.

The Made In Suffolk route has been created by the local council to cash in on the superstar’s fame.

The tour ends at the Christchurch Mansion museum, which last summer hosted an exhibition of Ed’s life, curated by his father.

Other stops include venues the Swan, the Steamboat Tavern and the Halberd Inn. Sounds more like a pub crawl. In other words, my kind of tour.

L DEVINE has shared her new track Peachy Keen.

She said: “It’s about two people with their own problems and no real way of coping with them but they find comfort in the fact they’re both messed up together.” Count me in as a big fan.

Fan gets 'play date

COLDPLAY have announced their latest album by sending a letter in the post to one of their fans.

Lena Tayara thought the message – which revealed their next record will be called Everyday Life – was a hoax.

But fans reassured her it was real as it was signed by all four bandmates, Chris Martin, Johnny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion.

Lena, who had posted a picture on Twitter, later said: “Thanks @coldplay! If I’d known that card was genuine I would have put on a nicer tablecloth before I took the pics.”

The double album, with one half called Sunrise and the other Sunset, will be released on November 22.

This is right up my street – I can’t wait.
