JANE McDonald was left red-faced after an 'awkward' run-in with a mystery man from her past while filming My Yorkshire.

Sunday night's episode of Jane's Channel 5 show saw her visit the original village set of Emmerdale and have a sailing lesson in Bridlington.

Jane also enjoyed a tandem cycle tour of Knaresborough with her friend Sue Ravey but got a surprise when she was introduced to their tour guides.

As she met Dave and Ivan, Jane said: "Hello, we’ve come for a bike ride. Is that right?”

Dave replied: “That’s fine, yes. Here we are.”

He then suggested Sue ride with him while Jane could ride with Ivan, who pointed at Jane as he said: "Hi, Hello!"

The star asked with a look of puzzlement on her face: "Hello, do I know you?"

Ivan replied: “Yes, Rooftop Gardens and Casanovas, Wakefield and Jane said: “Oh dear, that’s right, that’s right.”

Ivan said it was a "long time ago" before asking if Jane was coming with him and she said with a laugh: "I think so. How well do I know you?"

Ivan replied: "Oh well…" and Jane said: "Slightly awkward."

She then filled viewers in, explaining that Casanovas was a nightclub where she had worked as a waitress and podium dancer.

She said: "I hope he remembers me and not my outfit!” before revealing how she used to wear a body stocking and cowboy boots at the club.

She added: “I used to share a dance floor with Ivan. Now I’m sharing a tandem. How things change."
